Ms. Evangeline S. Belono-ac
It is my pleasure to continue being a part of the FIA family as its ESE Specialist this year. As ESE Specialist, I oversee the ESE Department making sure that the school is in compliance with the district. I collaborate with students, parents, teachers, administrators, speech/language pathologists, psychologists, and other service providers.
I work with different students whose abilities range from limited to extraordinary- from the intellectually challenged to the gifted individuals. I make sure that each student’s individual education plan is properly implemented. I take charge of the referral process-preparing all the documents needed for testing. I lead IEP conferences and the Collaborative Problem Solving Team meeting. In addition, I am also in-charge of in-house assessments as well as ensuring that the school curriculum is carried out religiously in the classrooms.
My position can be challenging yet exciting and very self-fulfilling! With the support of everyone on the team, we can definitely make a difference in the lives of these exceptional students under our care.
